Congratulations to our Wednesday night champions.In our REC division, the Gwendolyn Black Knights faced off against the Cinderella Blue Crab Hammers. The Hammers, on the road to the finals, knocked out the Brewhawks and #1 seed InvAsian, and were hoping to beat the Gwendolyn Black Knights. Unfortunately for them, the Black Knights were ready for their own storybook ending. With two goals from Nick Franson and one each from Joe Abbott, Lex Jones, and Patrick Coghlan, the Knights were able to secure a 5-0 victory. MVP honors went to Nick Franson.In our D2 division, the Hellbenders would square off against defending champs Puck Mafia. After a back and forth first half that ended up scoreless, Hellbenders would get the first goal from Patrick Coghlan. Mafia would respond with a goal by Scott Lavon, followed by a par from Mike Carter to give them a 3-1 win and back to back titles. MVP honors went to goalie Jason Boig and defenseman Jason Vernooy for stifling the potent Hellbenders offense.Our next season starts Wednesday. We can't wait. ... See MoreSee Less
