DC HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE.![]()

This past weekend, the Chesapeake Bay Retrievers competed in the NBHL Women's Tier 1 championship tournament and accomplished something no team from the DC-area had ever done before: bring home an NBHL National Championship.![]()
![]()
The Retrievers were built under a player-value salary cap as a Tier 1 Women’s team to represent the DC-area and compete against other select teams from Pittsburgh, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.![]()
![]()
Consisting of a talented group of DCHL players, the Retrievers dominated their way to a championship. They did not lose a single game in regulation and finished with a tournament high +9 goal differential; boosted by back-to-back shutouts from Maxie Weisz in the playoffs.![]()

This championship is a testament to the growth and development of our players and coaches, and an incredible milestone for the DC-area ball hockey community.![]()

A special shoutout to DCHL's All-Stars who helped bring home the title:![]()

Hannah (A), Aidan, Lisa, Madi, Carolyn, Edie (A) and Maxie![]()

And to the coaching staff who organized, game planned, and guided the team from the start:![]()
